SHIPPING TERMS

We use Incoterms® 2010 as the governing rules for export shipping. A brief description of each shipping options is given below. “Seller” refers to Tubing Central, and “Buyer” refers to our customer.

EXW – Ex Works

The seller has officially delivered the goods when the items are ready at the seller’s premises.

FCA – Free Carrier

The seller delivers the goods at the seller’s premises or another stated place to the carrier.

CPT – Carriage Paid To

The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to an agreed place.

CIP – Carriage and Insurance Paid To

The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to an agreed place and covering transport costs.

DAT – Delivered at Terminal

The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a named port or place of destination and unloading the goods at that location.

DAP – Delivered at Place

The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the disposal of the buyer at the name place of destination.

DDP – Delivered Duty Paid

The seller is responsible for delivering the goods to the disposal of the buyer at the name place of destination, as well as clearing the goods for import. All duties are the responsibility of the seller.

FAS – Free Alongside Ship

The seller delivers the goods alongside the vessel at the buyer’s named port of shipment. This is only for ocean shipments.

FOB – Free on Board

Same as FAS, except the goods must be delivered onto the ship. This is only for ocean shipments.

CFR – Cost and Freight

Same as FOB, except it includes delivery to the port of destination. This is only for ocean shipments.

CIF – Cost, Insurance, and Freight

Same as CFR, except it includes the cost for insurance on the shipment. This is only for ocean shipments.
